The Holy Monastery of Agia Paraskevi in Milochori is one of the most important religious and historical monuments of the Eordaia region, as well as a popular destination for pilgrims and visitors. It is located close to the city of Ptolemaida, about 15 minutes by car, at the boundaries of the Municipal Districts of Milochori and Foufa. The monastery was built on the foundations of a Byzantine church dedicated to Agia Paraskevi. Initially, it was a small pilgrimage site but quickly developed into an important religious center. In 1966, with a ministerial decision and the support of Metropolitan Vasilios, it was officially recognized as a Holy Monastery.


During the enthronement of Metropolitan Avgustinos, the monastery experienced particular prosperity. The new, magnificent church was built, and the monastery developed many activities, such as charitable works and spiritual guidance for the faithful. Today, the monastery is a focal point for the region, offering spiritual support and comfort to those who visit.


The main feast of the monastery is the feast of Agia Paraskevi, which is celebrated every year on July 26th. This day gathers a large number of faithful, who participate in the religious ceremonies and pray for the blessings of the Saint. In addition to the main church, the monastery also has several chapels, such as those of Agia Kyriaki, Agios Ignatios the God-bearer, Agios Nektarios, and Zoodochos Pigi, offering the faithful spaces for peaceful prayer and spiritual search.
