Ptolemaida

Ptolemaida

We begin our journey in Ptolemaida, where we visit the imposing Metropolitan Church of the Holy Trinity (Agia Triada) in the city center, as well as the Church of Agios Nektarios and the Church of Agios Dimitrios. Then, a 15-minute drive takes us to the Monastery of Agios Kosmas of Aetolia, located in a breathtaking setting on the foothills of Mount Askio, between Ardassa and Kryovrysi.

We continue for another 10-15 minutes to reach Anarrachi, where we find the Church of Agios Georgios, a significant religious and historical landmark, built in 1858. In less than 10 minutes, we arrive at the Monastery of Agia Paraskevi in Milochori, which was built on the foundations of a Byzantine church dedicated to Agia Paraskevi.

Our return to Ptolemaida takes less than 20 minutes, but if we wish, we can bypass the city and visit the traditional wooden-roofed Church of Agios Fotios in Pentavryssos, which is just 10 minutes away from Ptolemaida.
