Kastoria - Vlasti

Day 1
Our first stop from Kastoria, after a 20-minute drive, is the Monastery of Agios Konstantinos and Agia Eleni in Vogatsiko, built in 1882, located in one of the most beautiful and idyllic areas of the Kastoria region. Just 10 minutes later, we reach the Monastery of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Dryovouno, situated at an altitude of 820 meters, founded in the 13th century. A short distance away lies the Monastery of the Transfiguration of Christ, the oldest monastery in the Kozani region, dating back to the 16th–17th century.
After a 20-minute drive, we arrive at the Monastery of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in Sisanio, offering a breathtaking view of the Myrichos River and Lake Sisanio. Just 15 minutes away, we reach Vlasti, one of the most picturesque and charming villages in Greece, where we can stay overnight, enjoy delicious local cuisine, and take leisurely walks in the fresh mountain air.
Day 2
We begin our day at the imposing Church of Agios Markos in Vlasti, built in 1856, before ascending in less than 10 minutes to 1,650 meters on Mount Mouriki, where the Monastery of Agios Panteleimon is located.
Bidding farewell to Vlasti, we embark on a 30-minute drive to Askio, at an altitude of 950 meters, to visit the Monastery of Agia Paraskevi in Domavistio, which dates back to the 14th century.
Just 10 minutes later, we reach Eratyra, home to the Church of Agios Georgios, renowned for its grand architecture and historical significance. A 5-minute drive outside the village brings us to the Church of Agios Nikolaos and the historic Monastery of Agios Athanasios.
From there, our return journey to Kastoria takes approximately 45 minutes.
